Reference Sources will give you overview of subjects as well as help with definitions and key terms; For more information, be sure to look at the bibliographies for more information. Remember to use cross references, indexes, and tables of contents to help locate information.

Candidates' Foreign Policy Information
Below are some links to information on the Foreign Policy platforms of John McCain and Barack Obama. When searching, be aware that the issue is not always neatly divided as "foreign policy." Sometimes, it can be called International Issues, or Iraq, or Middle East, etc... There is a lot o f information out there, use critical thinking to judge the bias and opinions of the different authors.
- Barack Obama's Foreign Policy
- The official platform from the candidate's website.
- John McCain's National Security Platform
- John McCain does not have a specific "foreign policy" issue. In addition to National Security, look at his stance on Iraq.
- Vote Gopher Guide to the candidates
- VoteGopher analyzes the candidates' positions on a variety of topics. Look at the left hand side under "International." Click on the issue you are interested in and select Issue Homepage or the Candidate's position.
- Obama and McCain Duel over Foreign Policy
- A recent article from the New York Times with highlights of recent arguments.
- Commentary on Candidates' Foreign Policy Platforms
- Although this appeared in the New Republic a few months ago, the author argues that we should be wary of the foreign policy statements of the candidate because international issues fluctuate so often.

- This blog collects news stories concerning the candidates on many issues including Foreign policy. It may be overwhelmin, but you will see all the recent articles written on this topic.
