Coverage includes comprehensive career information on the United States Supreme Court justices dating back to the beginning of the Court in 1789. Contains brief information on the lives of the justices prior to their appointments. Each essay includes an annotated bibliography directing readers to full-length biographies as well as commentary on particular decisions and aspects of the justice's work. A chronological listing of all justices is included at the beginning of the book. This up-to-date reference book contains entries on Chief Justice Roberts and Justice Alito who were appointed in 2005 and 2006 respectively.
